Hard to imagine, but Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” almost didn’t exist. The original was a song written by a man for a man. The initial concept was about women in the bedroom. Lauper knew if she was going to sing it, some changes had to happen. Cyndi wanted the lyrics to make it empowering for women. Mission accomplished! For the full story, click here.
