If you’re like me and loved every moment of Wicked on screen, here’s some exciting news: Universal Pictures recently had Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) announce that Wicked will be coming to our homes starting December 31. You’ll be able to rent or buy Wicked: Part One on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and YouTube—earlier than expected, even while it’s still in theaters!
The film, based on the hit Broadway show, premiered on November 22 and is a massive success. While there’s no official word yet on when Wicked will arrive on streaming platforms—typically about four months after a Universal film leaves theaters—fans can rent or buy it soon to relive the magic at home. And while you watch, you can look forward to Wicked: Part Two, set to premiere on November 21, 2025. More details here.
