The Tom Petty Estate has opened the late icon’s vault with the long-awaited streaming release of Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party. The 1983 film directed by Cameron Crowe, the director of Almost Famous, and Jerry Maguire was presented only once on MTV in February 1983 before being shelved and forgotten. The original 16mm tapes were uncovered last year and meticulously remastered alongside 20 minutes of unseen live performances, interviews and commentary from Crowe. Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party is now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Heartbreakers Beach Party is now streaming exclusively on @paramountplus in the U.S. and Canada, and coming tomorrow March 12, in the UK, Australia, Latin America, France, Italy and Germany!
