Genre-defining director, screenwriter, and composer John Carpenter is receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next Thursday (4/3). The ceremony will take place in front of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Carpenter has brought to the screen some of the most popular and influential films in history – beginning with his 1978 breakthrough: a low-budget horror film called Halloween, for which he also composed the music. Guest speakers have yet to be announced, but I’d sure like to think Jamie Lee Curtis will be there! The event will be streamed live exclusively at walkoffame.com
