The Victoria’s Secret fashion show returned Tuesday, (10.15,) after a six-year hiatus. Time away seemed to do the production good. In the past we didn’t really have to watch to know what the show would entail. It was typically models in the same age range that looked very similar in more ways than just body type. But this time around models ranged from twenties to fifties. The catwalk showcased OG Victoria’s Secret “Angels,” like Tyra Banks and Kate Moss as well as younger faces like Gigi and Bella Hadid. The main musical act was Cher who continues to defy stereotypes about age. Plus-size model Ashley Graham who knows a thing or two about breaking barriers in the beauty world was featured as well. They say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” and this revamped fashion show proved that perhaps the world is starting to understand that.
