If you’re a Wicked fan, maybe you’ve been brushing up on lyrics from the Broadway play so you can sing your heart out when you watch the film adaption that finally drops today, (11.21.24.) I know I have, but AMC Theaters is telling fans to refrain from singing during the movie. They’re running a 30-second warning prior to each showing. Although part of me wants to be able to belt out Defying Gravity and Popular, I totally get it. After all as much as we’d like to think we sound like Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, chances are, our singing may not translate that way to everyone else in the theater. But if you do want to get your sing on, starting Christmas Day, theaters around the country will hold special screenings where audience participation is encouraged.
